Support SEA Centre during Covid19
Since its creation in 2017, the SEA Centre, Papua Explorers Foundation has been working with local communities to protect the incredible natural heritage of Raja Ampat for future generations. Through science, education and awareness, we have been supporting the nearby villages towards a sustainable development and providing their children with hope for the future. Every day, our team has been implementing scientific protocols to monitor marine biodiversity and developing conservation actions to maintain and restore it.
Today, the world is facing an unprecedented crisis and the people of Raja Ampat need us more than ever. While the resort is closed, the SEA Centre continues its community work, providing emergency health and food support, but also building capacity with education and training. In the absence of tourism and with an increasing fishing interest in the region, we are also strengthening our science and conservation work, as nature holds the key to a brighter future.
Closure of Papua Explorers means no income and all the business assets need to be saved to ensure the timely payment of salaries until travel restrictions are lifted. Papua Explorers keeps employing its team to ensure that the team and their families have health insurance and money for food and other needs during this crisis. This means, foundation activities rely on donations until the business that supports us has income again.
Our work will not be possible without your support.

Adopt a Coral
Our reef rehabilitation and monitoring program restores the damaged parts of reefs which not only re-establishes the biodiversity and food supply, but also protects the primary reefs at the deeper parts of the ocean.
We use these projects as a medium for creating job and education for the local community.
You can support our reef rehabilitation and monitoring program by adopting a coral.

Support a Papuan Dive Guide
Our Papuan Dive Guide School is a comprehensive, 6 month long program that equip the locals with dive industry skills and credentials as well as hospitality business essentials like English knowledge, customer service, organisation and problem solving skills.
The key for the local community to benefit from growing tourism in Raja Ampat is to be able to take part in it.
Donate today and make a difference in the lives of the beautiful people of Raja Ampat.

Support SEA Centre 4 Kids
We do our best to support the children of Raja Ampat so they are best prepared to protect the richest reefs of the world that are their heritage.
Our Sunday school focuses on conservation and environmental education. Our Thursday CHALISTUNG classes focus on improving the literacy and numeracy skills.
With your support, we will buy school supplies, educational materials, snorkel equipment, healthy food for growing bodies and hygiene products.
